Thank you for your interest in serving on the Title IX Student Advisory Board!
The Title IX Student Advisory Board, organized by the Office of Civil Rights and Sexual Misconduct (Title IX Office), the Student Government Association, and the Graduate Student Government, will meet once per month to discuss student feedback and concerns related to sexual misconduct prevention, propose new ways to ensure resources are accessible to students, promote Title IX initiatives, and assist in designing Title IX events and outreach efforts.
The Office of Civil Rights and Sexual Misconduct (otherwise known as Title IX) is responsible for handling student concerns and complaints related to sex discrimination and sexual misconduct. For more information visit their website at
ocrsm.umd.edu. The board will promote dialogue between students and Title IX administrators, which will allow for consistent student feedback and collaboration. Meetings will take place on the second Thursday of each month from 5:00-6:30pm — if you cannot arrive until 5:30pm, please still consider applying.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with the final deadline at 11:59pm on Monday, September 7th. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to
sgasmp@umd.edu.
