Nominate your School Breakfast Hero!
No Kid Hungry Washington and United Way of King County want to celebrate school leaders who are making a difference!

School Breakfast is a critical program for so many students across Washington. Unfortunately, thousands of students are missing out. Research shows that students with an empty belly are less able to concentrate and learn and more likely the visit the nurses' office during class.

We want to celebrate the everyday heroes across Washington that are working to improve the school breakfast program and ensure students have access to this crucial school supply. Each School Breakfast Hero selected will receive a prize pack and will be recognized publicly by No Kid Hungry Washington and United Way of King County during National School Breakfast Week.

What is a School Breakfast Hero?
A hero is anyone who takes action to improve the school breakfast program and helps kids get the nutrition they need to fuel their learning. Heroes can be from any part of the district or school – a principal that promotes the program, a superintendent who supports a new breakfast service model, a teacher who lends a hand, a school nutrition staff who goes above and beyond, and the list goes on.
