In 2015, ASBO created the Education Summit Scholarship Fund to give new School Business Officials (or active/institutional/SBO staff members who have not attended the conference in the past three years, if their school district budget was defeated the previous year, or if the district has a negative tax cap this year) the opportunity to attend the conference. The scholarship will cover the cost of registration and hotel.

The purpose of this Scholarship Fund is to address the main reason (budgetary constraints) that school business office staff cannot attend the Education Summit and Expo. Recipients will also be invited to attend the Past Presidents and Future Leaders Reception on Sunday at the conference to mix and mingle with other recipients, fund sponsors, and the association's leaders.
