What is the FAFSA? To apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, work-study, and loans, you need to complete the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Completing and submitting the FAFSA is free and easier than ever, and it gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college or career school. In addition, many states and colleges use your FAFSA information to determine your eligibility for state and school aid, and some private financial aid providers may use your FAFSA information to determine whether you qualify for their aid.
Why complete the FAFSA? The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the largest source of money for college and career training. Completing the FAFSA is the only way to access the Michigan Achievement Scholarship and other Michigan program such as TIP (Tuition Incentive Program), Michigan Competitive Scholarship, etc. This is a great opportunity to complete the FAFSA before Michigan's Priority Deadline of May 1, 2024.
The workshop will be held at Lake Fenton High School - in the Library, from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Parents should attend with their high school senior. Computers are available for families.
