TRAINING AIM and OBJECTIVES:

The following online training will shed a light on the main environmental systematic disasters the
whole of humanity shares right now, will cover the local characteristics in Armenia, what are the
issues and how does “Eco Waste” environmental NGO address them. On this (third) part the
speaker will share with a few universal and easy-to-remember hints on how to initiate a positive
social change in a community.

The last parts of the training will be interactively devoted to the self-assessment of our own
eco-footprint on the planet and a closing test with several interesting-to-know questions.

THE TRAINING CHECKPOINTS:

● The global aspects of environmental issues (5-10 mins)
● The Armenian ecosystem issues (10 mins)
● The exchange of experience of the “Eco waste” NGO (25-30 mins)
● Current essential environmental projects in Armenia (5 mins)
● How to assess one’s ecological footprint (15-20 mins)
● Interactive test-game (10 mins)
● Q&A (10 mins)

EXPECTED RESULTS:

The participants of the training will have a basic and complex perception about the main
reasons why we all need to become more and more eco-friendly citizens right now. They will get
a glance on specific problems Armenia has in this field, what are the ongoing environmental
projects there, who are “Eco Waste” and how their experience can be exported.
Moreover, the participants will get to know with a couple of joyful tools how can one assess
his/her ecological foot-print on the planet, automatically outlining the steps to take on for
reducing the negative impact. The training will be summed up with concluding test-format
questions.

Vahe Salahyan.

Vahe Salahyan is one of the project-managers and trainers in the “Eco waste” environmental NGO on a
voluntary basis since 2019. He is also one of the deans of the “Awesome Nature Armenia” foundation since 2021.
