Session Description and Speaker Bio

Bias Free Progressive Discipline: This session will look at how you can build and sustain a positive school climate by using a whole school approach.

This session will be presented by a representative of the Ontario Ministry of Education under their professional development program for teacher candidates. Kevin King completed Business Administration at George Brown College and Public Administration at University of Western Ontario and Education at Brock University. He completed law school at Osgoode Hall and articled with Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, where he focused on commercial litigation matters. During his undergraduate career, Kevin was president of his student association, chair of Toronto Youth Cabinet and selected as one of the 8 future world leaders representing Canada at the world leaders’ summit. Currently, Kevin works for the Ministry of Education as a Program Coordinator responsible for Provincial Police Protocol, Future Ace and De-Streaming. Kevin enjoys working with young people, playing and coaching basketball, and cooking favorite dish Jamaican Oxtail.
