Our Local Events calendar keeps you informed of current and upcoming Black productions, offerings, and events in and throughout the Los Angeles area.

Please note: W.E.B. Du Bois defined Black theatre as “for us, by us, about us and near us.” While Du Bois’ vitally important, landmark criteria for Black art provides a firm foundation from which we categorize Black theatre and events, we, at the same time, hold a nuanced view and recognize that meeting all of his stated criteria is not always attainable.
