Conference Overview
The CVN National Conference brings together volunteer program staff, campus personnel, and partners in faith-based service for a time of professional development and networking. You can read more about our conference online at catholicvolunteernetwork.org/national-conference. This year's conference will take place November 5 – 8, 2019, at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio, November.

This year's conference will feature up to ten different workshops divided across two different time slots occurring Wednesday, November 6th and Thursday, November 7th, each 90 minutes in length. Workshop presenters will receive a stipend of $100 per workshop.

Workshops Overview
Our conference theme – “Many Rays, One Rising” – will guide our network of volunteer programs as we look inward to develop new ways of building our community and as we reach outward as a unified voice telling the story of faith-based service. We invite you to submit a workshop proposal relating to one of our two areas of focus (below). Presenters with practical experience and/or case studies desired.
1. Inward Journey: Diversity, Equity, Justice, and Creative Transitions
Exploring changes to models / approaches / partnerships that are realistic about changes in Church, society, and young adults. Exploring how increased diversity can unify us and make faith-based service more attractive to and impactful for a broader range of volunteers.
2. Outward Journey: Communications, Recruitment, and Enhanced Visibility
Exploring how to tell the evolving story of CVN by communicating in ways that raise our profile, educate about the breadth and depth of what we offer, connect with and cultivate more potential volunteers, and fostering relationships with more partners.
Important Note
We realize you may offer great supports, experiences, and workshops that do not fit neatly within the categories linked above. If so, please submit your proposal anyway! Not all workshops need to adhere directly – and we welcome your interpretation of what is relevant! We appreciate creativity.
