LSR Sports Team Application - Semester 2 (24-25)

We have THREE sports shows on LSR:

Monday 2-3pm- a recap of the weekend's sporting events and a preview of anything midweek.

Friday 2-3pm- a reaction to midweek events followed by previews and predictions for the weekend.

Saturday 3-5pm - a show in the same vein as Soccer Saturday/Sunday on Sky Sports or PitchSide/The Club - reactions to goals around the EFL as they go in.

This semester is when the Christie Cup and Varsity roll round, so getting involved is crucial. We're also going to be a lot stronger in finding opportunities for you guys this semester, so there's no time like the present to get involved.

There is also the opportunity for live sports coverage, interviews, press opportunities, and commentating on games around Leeds, so if you aren't able to get yourself onto a show, don't worry, as you'll have loads of chances to get involved! Also - do not be worried about having a lack of experience - I was the same last year, but you'll be trained for any role that you're interested in getting involved with.

Social Media Management - running the LSR Sport Instagram, Tiktok and Twitter

Social Sec (specific to the LSR Sport team) - liasing with the LSTV team to get some socials organised

Content writing - creating the plans for the Monday and Friday sport teams

Producer - accompanying teams to outside events, ensuring all runs smoothly and making sure all content is produced to the best of our ability.

Editor - taking content produced by LSR Sport and editing it down into packages to be used on the radio.
