New Board Member Information & Questionnaire

Thank you very much for your interest in joining Concrete Theatre Society’s Board. Please help us get to know you by filling in the following survey. We encourage applicants with prior board experience and are particularly looking for those with a connection to education (ex. Teacher, school administrator) or who have legal or accounting skills. However, we welcome all applicants and will consider board members with a variety of backgrounds.   

About Concrete Theatre:

Concrete Theatre is an award-winning professional theatre company committed to creating, developing and producing artistically excellent Theatre for Young Audiences. We create work that is culturally diverse and inclusive, and that explores issues relevant to the lives of young people and their families. 


As a board member you will be expected to:

Make a minimum of a 1 year commitment to the Board. A two year commitment is preferred.

Attend monthly board meetings (approx 2hrs each, typically skipping Aug & Dec).

Participate in fundraising initiatives: casinos and fundraising events, contacting potential sponsors/contributors through personal or other contacts.

Contribute to one of the on-going or ad hoc committees through meetings, support, leadership and know-how. Current committees are the Equity Diversity Inclusion Justice Committee, HR Committee and the Bylaw Review Committee.

Be a spokesperson for Concrete Theatre to your friends and the community to raise the profile of the company.
