What does James Stephens Elementary offer?

James Stephens Elementary is a unique school designed to give students the powerful foundation they need for lifelong learning. With STEM lessons incorporated into their everyday schooling, these engaging programs teach collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. These skills are necessary to prepare students for exciting future careers.

What is STEM?

As a STEM Magnet School, we integrate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math concepts into all areas of study. In fact, STEM is part of the students’ learning in ways you might not expect!
With our pioneering approach, students in Kindergarten through 5th grade gain valuable STEM skills as they practice reading, during physical education classes and even in art.
Why is that important? The U.S. currently has millions of unfilled STEM jobs and an additional 3.5 million STEM positions will need to be staffed by 2025.
