This is a Pocc x Doc Society research project - thank you for participating.
WHO WE ARE:
We are Pocc, the creative network driving cultural impact. We exist to improve the lived experiences of Black, Brown and ethnically diverse creative professionals in the industry through creativity, activism and non-traditional means. For this project we have partnered with Doc Society, a non-profit founded in 2005 committed to enabling great documentary films and connecting them to audiences globally. In 2020 Doc Society launched a Climate Story Unit dedicated to supporting transformative storytelling to advance a climate just and biodiverse future. In the past eighteen months they have regranted over $1 million in production and impact grants to creative storytelling projects; feature docs, shorts, web series, animations, podcasts and a docudrama made by creatives around the world. For more information about the Doc Society's work visit:

WHAT THIS IS:
We are interested in learning about how best to enable and uplift new work on the themes of the climate crisis in 2022 from POC creatives. We would like to delve into how climate narratives present themselves in our communities, which themes are at the forefront of the conversation and which stories you would like to tell. This research will inform actions Doc Society can take to support creatives of colour in telling climate stories in the future.
WHO WE'RE SPEAKING TO:
Black, Brown and ethnically marginalised filmmakers, storytellers, animators, writers, creatives and artists from across the UK, aged 18+ with an active interest in telling stories about the climate crisis. The findings of this research may be published in 2022 but all responses will be kept anonymous.
