MidCoast Waste and The Taree Envirofair invite you to enter the Re-Imagine Waste Community Art Competition
with a cash prize pool of $1200 for winners and runner up gift prizes from local business of the Mid Coast Council Region.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Categories & cash prize values open to individuals (within age range) or school applications are:
Entry Categories: Early Childhood (0-5) $100, Primary (5-12) $200, High School (12-18)$200, and Open (18+)$500 General Public, including community or not for profit groups, individuals, groups, and business/industry. A $200 peoples choice award is also on offer, voting occurs during the Exhibition period & announced with all other winners.
Art Work Categories: include 2D Assemblage , mixed media, sculpture, fashion and jewellery, you can enter two artworks per category you will just have to complete seperate entry forms for each individual art work.

Art Work must be made from recycled materials, eg: anything found, reused or collected from Domestic, Commercial, Event/sporting/community, Fashion, or Industrial* waste. Art Work must be able to be lifted easily and not exceed 20kgs.
*Art Work must not contain any dangerous edges, materials that contain toxic residue, or could be hazardous to the health of the viewer or exhibition curators when installing.

Art Work Criteria to be judged not only on how awesome it looks, but also on ability to:
Educate: about the benefits of recycling
Eliminate: waste from the cycle
Innovate: Repurposing, rebooting, remake, and reuse waste at the source and reduce landfill.
Judging and Winners will announced from the main stage of Envirofair at approximately 3pm.

All Art Works entered in the competition will be exhibited across the Barrington Coast as part of the Vibrant Spaces Initiative, & The Manning Regional Art Gallery from June 1st- 6th/7th and form special installation at the Taree Envirofair on June 8th, therefore all works must be delivered to the Studios of 2bob Radio on the Corner of Wynter & Macquarie Sts Taree in business hours by May 27th.
Art Works will be available for collection at from 4.00pm on June 8th from the Enviforair or at 2bob Radio from June 9th until June 14th.
