Congratulations to the both of you on beginning this new journey of your life. The Islamic Center of Morgantown would be honored to facilitate your marriage ceremony. 

Please fill out the information in this form to help us best assist you on your important day. 

Please be aware, the Islamic Center of Morgantown has a mandatory pre-marital counseling session before any marriage ceremony can be conducted. This is offered in person as well as via Zoom. The date for the counseling session can be discussed directly with Imam Vajid at his email: imamvajid@gmail.com

The following are required by the center prior to the ceremony: 

1) Photo copy of a picture ID of the groom
2) Photo copy of a picture ID of the bride
3) Photo copy of a picture of the bride's Wali (guardian).
4) A photo copy of a picture ID of each of the two witnesses. 
5) Marriage License from the county
6) Approval of the bride's guardian
7) An agreed upon Mahr (brides gift/dowry). 
8) Two male witnesses (in the event that you can not find two, please reach out to Imam Vajid to help find two members of the community). 
9) A completed pre-marital counseling session with Imam Vajid

The Islamic Center of Morgantown does not charge for these services (including the premarital counseling), however, an honorarium or a monetary gift to the officiant is a customary practice.
