To be eligible, a participant must be a *currently enrolled female student* in an academic institution at one of these levels: graduate program (PhD or Masters) at a university, undergraduate program at a college/university, community college, technical/vocational school, International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, and secondary school/middle school/high school.

Schedule & Timeline:
April 13 – June 28, 2019:  Phase 1 Online education campaign on the SDGs and STEAM skills.

June 29 – August 29:  Phase 2 Online education campaign on the SDGs and STEAM skills, including by Womensphere GEMs (Global Expert Mentors); Challenges will be announced on August 30.

August 30 - September 23:  Beginning & end of creation & production period for art, code/apps, video for University Participants (submission deadline: September 23, 2019); continuation of online education campaign on the SDGs and STEAM skills.

August 30 - October 3:  Beginning & end of creation & production period for art, code/ apps, video for Secondary School Participants (submission deadline: September 29, 2019); continuation of online education campaign on the SDGs and STEAM.

October - November:  Evaluation & Adjudication period.

December 2019:  Top 50-100 participants will be announced.

November 2019 – February 2020:  Media will be created to showcase entries and participating women & girls.

March 2020: Womensphere Global STEAMfest Award Ceremonies at a parallel event during the 64th UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York.
