2020/21 Race Directors Summit
2020 has been an exceptionally challenging year regardless of whether you are an athlete, coach, race director or sport fan.  The global pandemic has devastated sport events across the globe. As we slowly move from phase to phase in re-opening, 2021 will play a critical role in resetting the hearts and minds of every participant, from the newly initiated to the athletes that will (hopefully) represent Canada at the postponed Tokyo Olympics.

Normally, we would collaborate with our friends over at Athletics BC

As in the past, lunch will be provided to all registered participants. The Conference will be held out of the Fortius Sport & Health Centre in Burnaby. Onsite accommodations are available at a reduced rate to all out of town participants, with small travel subsidies available for Race Directors traveling from outside of the Metro Vancouver area.

Based on the successful engagement we saw in 2019, next year's conference will host a series speaker sessions on topics relevant to event organizers, all under the common umbrella of professionalizing event delivery, and enriching the participant experience. Each session will be facilitated by senior leaders in their particular field, with an interactive Q & A immediately following each presentation.

A 30 to 60 minute sport-specific breakout session is also planned at the end of the day.

Cost would be kept to a minimum, covering facility rental, lunch and presenter expenses.

During the initial planning process, we would like to hear from you.  As on-the-ground agents delivering the sports experience directly to thousands of participants across, BC, your input and insight is invaluable.  Please take a few minutes to complete the survey below to help us make the Conference as beneficial as possible for everyone.

Thank you,
