Research visual support for deaf people in gaming
We are doing customer research for the development of a software that will help deaf and hard of hearing gamers by providing a visual representation of the audio cues in the game. And we would like to get your feedback on the software and know what the deaf and hard of hearing gaming community actually need to help them.

Just to explain what we do, we are developing a visual representation of sound in video games using a 3D grid. This is an example of how our 3D grid would look, the concept is that the peaks in the grid will indicate where on the map the sound is. The peaks will have different colours to indicate what the sound is. for example, footsteps would be green and gunshots red.
The product we want to develop is a software that gives a 3D representation of where on the map is sound or an enemy (like shown above in the left top corner of the screen). This will solve the problem of deaf people missing important audio cues and will be able to play the game optimally.
