Voting Ballot - Fall 2021
Vote for games for our September / October / November meetings!

Date: 1st Friday of each month
Time: 7:00pm
Location: In-person at Nova Labs in Reston!

FYI: as of right now Nova Labs requires masks for everyone except while eating or drinking

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Games will be grouped into three types:

1. Couch Multiplayer games - only one person needs to own the game and we can play it on the bigscreen TV, so nobody needs to bring anything to participate

2. LAN Multiplayer games - each person needs to own the game and bring their own computer to play it on

3. Singleplayer games - for best results each person should play the game a little bit before showing up so we can discuss it; depending on the game there may be a way to actually play the game during the meeting

Couch Multiplayer Games

Only one person needs to own the game and we can play it on the bigscreen TV, so nobody needs to bring anything to participate.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Duck Game (https://store.steampowered.com/app/312530/Duck_Game/) -- "Blast your friends with Shotguns, Net Guns, Mind Control Rays, Saxophones, Magnet Guns, and much, much more."

Killer Queen Black (https://store.steampowered.com/app/663670/Killer_Queen_Black/) -- "The ultimate arcade esport comes home. Hop on the snail, hoard berries, or wipe out the enemy’s queen to claim victory."

Out of Space (https://store.steampowered.com/app/400080/Out_of_Space/) -- "Strategy co-op online multiplayer game about living on a spaceship with your roommates. You'll need to generate resources, take care of a deadly alien infestation, upgrade your appliances and build your sustainable space home."

Tricky Towers (https://store.steampowered.com/app/437920/Tricky_Towers/) -- "Stack your bricks in this land of fable, whose marvelous tower will be the most stable? Battle your friends and rise to fame, in this frantic physics game."

LAN Multiplayer Games

Each person needs to own the game and bring their own computer to play it on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dungeon Defenders Awakened (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1101190/Dungeon_Defenders_Awakened/) -- This is a co-op tower defense / action RPG hybrid.  The first game was released many years ago and was quite fun.  The sequel doesn't have the greatest reviews but it's free and probably good for a night of fun.

Forts (https://store.steampowered.com/app/410900/Forts/) -- "Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble."

Heroes of Hammerwatch (https://store.steampowered.com/app/677120/Heroes_of_Hammerwatch/) -- "Heroes of Hammerwatch is a rogue-lite action-adventure. Explore and battle your way through procedurally generated levels on your own or with up to 3 friends."

What the Box (https://store.steampowered.com/app/527340/What_The_Box/) -- "What the box is an Online Multiplayer shooter in which players control living boxes hiding amongst regular boxes while trying to destroy each other. Run around with your trusty box cutter in hand or stand still and wait for the perfect moment to strike!"

Singleplayer Games

For best results each person should play the game a little bit before showing up so we can discuss it; depending on the game there may be a way to actually play the game during the meeting.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Monster Train (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1102190/Monster_Train/) -- "Monster Train is a strategic roguelike deck building game with a twist. Set on a train to hell, you’ll use tactical decision making to defend multiple vertical battlegrounds. With real time competitive multiplayer and endless replayability, Monster Train is always on time."  Looks like a fun twist on the Slay the Spire gameplay.  Plus I see it's already on several people's wishlists!

Undermine (https://store.steampowered.com/app/656350/UnderMine/) -- "An action-adventure roguelike with a bit of RPG tossed in. Adventure deep into the UnderMine and discover powerful relics, deadly enemies, hidden secrets, and a few friends to help along the way."  Recommended by Jin and Ben.

Rogue Legacy 2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1253920/Rogue_Legacy_2/) -- "Every time you die, your children will succeed you, and each child is unique. Your daughter might be a Colourblind Archer, and your son could be a Pacifistic Chef. Either way, one of them is getting conscripted."
