If you are interested in teaching mathematics in an engaging way, and would like to see how coding can be used to support its learning, UCL ScratchMaths is for you. This program focuses on using Scratch 3 for teaching Coding integrated with Mathematics, and is designed for teachers who would like to take what they learn and help other teachers develop their knowledge… with our support, of course!

This workshop is open to Stage 2, 3 or 4 teachers with a few years of experience teaching with Scratch or experience teaching Coding and a passion for sharing their knowledge with peers. It will be held in our Callaghan campus.

The UCL ScratchMaths program will run over 2 full days during Term 4 of 2020 (Week 2). The program will be delivered as an interactive workshop at the University of Newcastle’s Callaghan campus. The program will be accredited with NESA for 12 hours for the following teaching standards at the Proficient level: 2.1.2, 2.6.2, 3.3.2, 3.4.2, 4.5.2, 6.2.2 and 6.4.2.
