We are excited to announce our new Virtual Post-Secondary Student Chapter!
Students will have the chance to get creative with new initiatives, make an impact on our local and wider community, as well as the opportunity to meet and connect with other queer students across the country, while leading virtual initiatives.
We are looking for:
-10-15 QTBIPOC students with great ideas and energy, that want to take part in Get REAL's mission.Driven & Passionate changemakers that are looking for a volunteer opportunity to put their skills to work for a great cause.
- Students attending or returning to a Canadian University or College in September 2023.
- Students available for a minimum of 2 hours a month. (1 hour meeting & 1 hour of follow up work)
- No Prior experience necessary.
You will receive:
- Automatic acceptance to attend all virtual Get REAL events for free, including the Career Conference where you will be connected with industry experts and professionals.
- Students that volunteer over 30 hours will be eligible to receive a free Get REAL T-shirt.
- Reference & Professional development support.
- Develop invaluable transferable skills as you help plan Get REAL events, virtual initiatives, and raise awareness on your own campus where possible.
- Additional incentives if you take transit.
-$200 honorarium upon completion of:
- Attend the Fall Chapter Conference.
- Attend the Spring Career Conference.
- Enter or join a team and fundraise for the Virtual 5K.
- Connect with your University or College bookstore.
- Provide Promo support for Get REAL events on Social Media and student groups.
The Get REAL Movement Virtual Chapter is starting September 2023 - Selection of students will happen over the month.
- Selected individuals will start to receive correspondence by the end of August.
