Scholarship Application
Note: You may have completed an application for previous L.A. Foundation scholarships. We are starting fresh for 2024. If you have previously applied for an L.A. Foundation scholarship before February 25, 2024, we ask that you fill out a new application.

Date overview:
  • Applications launch Feb 26 2024

  • Applications to remain open until March 31, 2024

  • Application notification April 30, 2024

  • Public announcement May 19, 2024

Welcome to the first step in our scholarship application process!

We want to get to know you a bit more! Please share as much as possible with us so that we can work to provide the best scholarship options for you. Please take time to share with us why you would like to partake in this scholarship, how you would like to grow in the outdoors, and select all of the scholarships that would work for you - don't limit your growth through us!

Please note that our scholarships are limited based on the funding received in that calendar year and a committee will be choosing the scholarship recipients in a blind tender process. This means that your application will be provided to our committee without any personal information to ensure our scholarship delivery process is anonymous.  Though we ask for personal information our award committee will not see this information. This information will only be used to get in touch with you about the status of your application.

Before you complete this application, please know that if you are selected for a scholarship you will be responsible for identifying a course provider, registering for the course and submitting an invoice (e.g., a receipt) to The L.A. Foundation by the date outlined in your award letter. This is a new process for our scholarship delivery. We feel this will allow us to offer more scholarships to applicants in a wider range of communities.

So curl up, grab a cup of your favourite warm drink, review our scholarship application tips and take your time wooing us through writing in your application.

See you on the other end!
