Call for a Creative Writing Mentor!

We’re looking for a passionate Creative Writing Mentor to guide young storytellers in our 6-week workshop, "Telling Our Stories, Creating Our Legacy." This program empowers 16 to 18-year-olds to explore their personal narratives, develop their voice, and publish their work.

As a mentor, you'll provide guidance, feedback, and inspiration as students craft blogs, short stories, and contribute to a collective anthology. If you believe in the power of storytelling and want to help young writers own their voices, we’d love to have you!

No degree required, just a love for storytelling and a passion for mentoring young writers!  If you love working with young aspiring writers and want to make an impact by fostering confidence, creativity, and self-expression, we’d love to hear from you!

  • This is a paid contract position.  35.00 an hour.
  • Location: 2301 Lexington Avenue KCMO 64124
  • Dates and times: 6 week; Tuesdays June 3rd to July 8th 5:30pm to 7:00pm
