I understand that submission of this application does not necessarily mean that I will be approved to foster/volunteer and that Dream Paws and/or SNAP of Michigan reserves the right to reject any applicant. I authorize Dream Paws and/or SNAP of Michigan to verify any and all information set forth in this application and to contact my personal references. I agree to provide any records to Dream Paws and/or SNAP of Michigan of all foster animals within my care.
I understand that dogs or cats may be unpredictable, and Dream Paws and SNAP of Michigan cannot guarantee nor warrant that an animal we are rescuing may become aggressive. I am willing to assume the risks involved with working with animals who are sometimes frightened and may become aggressive. I agree to assume all risks implicit in working with dogs or cats that have come into the care of Dream Paws or SNAP of Michigan. I understand that dogs/cats can be destructive, and a foster dog/cay may cause damage to my property. I am willing to accept that risk and will not seek reimbursement from Dream Paws or SNAP of Michigan for any damage.
I understand that if I become a volunteer/foster for the rescue, that I become a personal representation of that rescue. I understand that when it comes to representing the rescue, my conduct and behavior personally reflect who I am. If my words and/or actions go against the values and conduct of the rescue, I understand that I am on grounds for dismissal from the group. I understand that slander and/or defamation of character is never tolerated. I understand that I am an adult in control of my own feelings and words.
I understand that I am not a two-year-old, and do not have anyone who can baby sit me, nor take my fault. I understand that if an issue occurs that I must be a big kid, speak up, and bring any issues/concerns made aware to a Board Member of the rescue.
I understand that volunteering in public will result in working around potential adopters and the general public. I understand that when dealing with the general public, people can be unpredictable of what they say or do. I understand that my words and actions is a reflection of the rescue. I understand that if I feel uncomfortable, I will notify a Rescue Representative immediately. I understand that if I feel unsafe, I am to step away and call the police for additional assistance.
