Together we will explore :
- Working with nature to site plan
- Learning simple techniques for planning a garden including observation and mapping
- Finding the optimal location for your garden
- Choosing appropriate plants
- Seed Starting & ethical seed distributor
- Varieties of garden bed styles for different situations
This workshop will be inclusive, participatory and will include practical activities that support the application of learnings to ones own life. Participants will be able to take home a seedling of their choice. Some take home resources will also be available. Please bring a notebook & writing utensil if desired, water bottle, and reusable mug for nourishing herbal infusions. Please dress for the weather as we may go outside.
Cost: Free with suggested donation of $10-20. No one will be turned away because of lack of funds. All proceeds split between Permaculture Design & One Straw Society to cover event costs and support future offerings.

Presenter: Kym Chi
Kym Chi is a dedicated healer, grounding herself in earth stewardship, people care and regenerative action. As a dynamic woman, her passions are Permaculture, creative facilitation, visual art, holistic healing and community building. Kym has 3 certificates in Permaculture Design, 5 teaching certificates, a Diploma in Permaculture Education, has taken many advanced trainings and has 2000+ hrs facilitation experience. She is a chartered Herbalist and has completed advanced herbal studies with Susun Weed, Dina Falconi, Barbara Cotgrave and Robert A. Bartlett.
