Summer Program 2019 Registration
Holyoke Public Schools will be offering various summer programming for rising first grade through ninth grade. Summer learning opportunities include:
CAMP HOLYOKE:
For rising grades 1-5: Students will build critical academic skills in math and literacy related to exciting weekly themes. After lunch, it’s time for Enrichment! Activities will focus foster social emotional skill development and promote wellness.
SUMMER STRINGS:
For Grade Levels 5-8: For violin, cello, and band students grades 5-8 with experience (if your child is younger and has experience playing a string instrument, or has not played one of these instruments before please call 413-559-1026 for an audition)
Strengthen your playing and music reading skills in a friendly and easy going environment! We will play 3 concerts throughout the Holyoke community! This program is for students already playing violin, cello, or a band instrument. Students will also receive beginning classes in ukulele, guitar, and chorus! Beginning levels are welcome!
GENERATION TEACH:
For rising grades 6-8: Generation Teach is an engaging STEAM, (Science Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) program for middle school students. Elective classes, college visits and special events will make each week memorable. Don’t miss out on this!
SHAKESPEARE ELEVATED PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY WITH ENCHANTED CIRCLE:
For rising grades 7,8, 9: Students will have the opportunity to explore the world of theater — script writing, acting, directing, choreography, costuming, and set design. All students will have the opportunity to be cast as characters in the play, wear theatrical costumes, work behind the scenes and perform their own remixed scenes from one of the Shakespearean plays.
Transportation will be provided to eligible students according to the Holyoke Public Schools Transportation Policy.
STUDENTS MUST BE REGISTERED BY MAY 15, 2019.
PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO REGISTRATION FORMS SUBMITTED BY THE APPLICATION DEADLINE.
