Work-Based Learning Application

WORK-BASED LEARNING APPLICATION FOR 1st Semester 2024-2025
(This is an application ONLY and does NOT guarantee acceptance into the program.)
(3 classes of WBL = 15-hour per week work requirement; 2 classes = 10-hour per week work requirement)

Qualifications for Cooperative Education and Great Promise Partnership:
High school junior or senior in 2024-2025
Enrolled in a pathway class related to the job placement or CCAE
Favorable behavior record (no discipline issues)
No more than 10 absences and tardies during 2023-2024
Cumulative Average 75 or above
On track for graduation (sufficient number of credit classes)
Copy of Driver’s License
Copy of Parking Decal

Additional qualifications for those applying for Youth Apprenticeship:
Previously earned credit in a career pathway class related to the job placement
Planning to earn a post-secondary  college/technical school credential in the area of the job placement/career pathway after high school
Planning to work during college in the same career pathway area selected in high school
Maintained a Cumulative Average of 80 or above
Copy of Driver’s License
Copy of Parking Decal

Once you submit your online WBL application Mrs. Miranda will see if you qualify for WBL. Students who qualify will receive an email from Mrs. Miranda with additional information and next steps. This email just approves you to be in the program, but guidance has the final approval. Guidance will ensure WBL works with your academic schedule. Make sure to save the emails you receive that include your WBL Final Application and Orientation Information. See Mrs. Miranda for additional information or if you have any questions.
