2020 Boards & Commissions Leadership Institute Application
BCLI is a six-month fellowship that prepares Baltimore City activists & grassroots leaders to become effective advocates serving on a public board or commission. You must be a resident of Baltimore City and commit to serving on a Board or commission within 6-months of completing the program.

Please note, this is a Four-Part Application:
1. Online form below, to be completed by the applicant.  
2. Brief Letter of Interest that explains why you want to participate in the BCLI and what change you believe you can make serving on a Board or Commission.
3. Nomination Letter completed by a community association or advocacy organization with which you have been active.  You may also be nominated by an elected official.  
4. Please submit a resume, CV or biography that explains your professional or community experience.

The goal of BCLI is to have individuals with an equity and justice lens serve on a commission or board. We are asking for a commitment to apply to a board or commission within six months of the training. *

The strength of the BCLI model hinges upon fellows participating in both full-day training and observation/implementation activities. Saturday full-day sessions are tentatively scheduled for: February 29, March 21, April 11, May 16, June 20, and July 18.  Observation days require 2-3 hours per month, usually on a weekday evening. *
