OBC Congregational Survey: Goals and Callings
Since I started as Pastor of the Ogunquit Baptist Church on May 1st of 2007, I have heard one overarching goal expressed from the congregation: We need to bring young families into the church!  Over the course of the intervening years, we have made significant efforts to reach out to children, youth and their families but have seen only minimal success.

In our conversations as a congregation and in strategy planning with the leadership boards, we have identified a number of issues that we recognize continue to put us at a disadvantage in this goal:

                - The traffic

                - The demographics of Ogunquit

                - The seasonal nature of Ogunquit

                - Lack of Parking

These issues have proven to be not so easily overcome.  With these issues and our goal of adding young families to our congregation in mind, I’m asking if you would answer these short survey questions.  Their intent, I think, will be obvious.  Your input will help guide my thinking and our leadership boards’ deliberations as we consider new ways to be effective for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Ogunquit area.  The survey is also available on our website www.ogunquitbaptistchurch.org. You can also return your answers by mail to the church’s PO box or by email.

Thank you for your time and effort!

In Christ,

Pastor Jeff

Do you believe the Ogunquit Baptist Church is called of God to be a “family church” with a robust children’s and youth ministry? *
Is OBC called instead to reach out primarily to retirees and to seasonal visitors? *
Should OBC seek to be a “family church” even if it meant moving to a new physical location? *
Should OBC remain in our current location even if it meant being largely unable to reach young families?  (And instead attempt primarily to reach retirees and seasonal visitors?) *
