I understand:
The first 100 students who read 1,00,000 words will receive the prize of going to Magic Springs
I must read books that are new to me this year. You may read one book and quiz over it from this summer.
I must have my English teacher/Parent/Librarian sign my reading log after I have finished my AR Quiz.
I must make on 80% or higher to receive credit for the word count. No partial word count will be given.
I must notify my English teacher/Parent of the book I am reading to prove I have read it this year.
I must only take AR Quizzes in my English classes OR in the library.
I will not disturb my English teacher or Librarian about quizzing when direct instruction or classes are occurring. I will only quiz when my teacher specifies the time that is appropriate.
I will not cheat for others or help others with questions on an AR quiz. Doing so will automatically disqualify me from the club.
I understand I must attend a monthly meeting to check my progress. We will meet the first Tuesday of every month in the library. If you are absent on a meeting day, you must email or stop in the library the next day to explain your absence. Only one unexcused absence will be given.
All Quizzes must be completed by April 15th.
