Between Books

From November 9 to 12, 2023, the first Art Book Fair at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf will take place!

Independent art book publishers, artists, independent publishing/DIY collectives, organisations, zines, magazines, etc. are invited to apply for a booth.

Requirements for the application:

  1. You must publish, sell and/or distribute art books or artists' books.
  2. The books must be available for purchase, although some free items may be offered (e.g., zines, stickers, etc.). 
  3. You must have a publishing practice, whether large or small. We aim to present a wide range of art books and publishers and will select exhibitors based on the quality of their applications. 
  4. it is important to us that you demonstrate your commitment to bookmaking and present an appealing selection of published works. Between Books is not suitable for presenting only individual titles or a single book project.
  5. Between Books focuses primarily on books. Therefore, please explain how the proposed table or project space will present artists' books, catalogues, monographs, magazines, zines or similar printed material. Editions, prints, LPs, clothing or original artworks may be part of the presentation but should not be the main focus.
  6. Participation in the accompanying programme such as readings, performances, talks is desired and we welcome suggestions.

Booth fees:
Half table (approx. 1m) = 80€ gross
Whole table (approx. 2m) = 150€ gross

Deadline: Applications are open until August 10, 2023.

We recommend submitting the application as soon as possible, as we will start allocating spaces on an ongoing basis before this date. To secure participation, payment of the stand fee is due within two weeks of confirmation and invoice dispatch. All places will be confirmed until the end of August, 2023. Applications from the Rhine-Ruhr area may be given preference.

After submitting this form, a confirmation email will be sent by the system (check spam folder if necessary), this is not yet a confirmation of the booth application!
Notification on the result of the application will be sent to the e-mail address of the main contact specified here. Corrections are no longer possible after the form has been sent and can only be resubmitted after a confirmation has been made. 

It is not possible to apply for individual days of Between Books. Applications are only valid for the entire duration during the opening hours:
Thursday, November 9, 2023, 5 – 10 pm
Friday – Sunday, November 10–12, 2023, each 12 am – 7 pm
