Mr. Victor A. Martinetti Service to Community Scholarship
Thank you for your interest in the Mr. Victor A. Martinetti Service to Community Scholarship.  This scholarship was created in honor of Mr. Martinetti, who has served in public education in both the Beaver and Midland communities.  This scholarship is awarded in recognition of extraordinary service and aspirations to pursue education after high school in the face of financial struggle.

The purpose of this award is to honor a Beaver Area High School student who demonstrates financial need, yet who still has valiantly given of his/her time and energy to some cause of community service, in specific regards to The Center of Midland.

The award must be used to attend a 2 - 4 year college or technical school.  Student must have earned a minimum 2.0 GPA.

500 Word Essay Required discussing the following points:  How/why have you chosen to give back (and an explanation of the cause)?, How has community service impacted your life?,  Express your financial need and description of future plans in regards to your higher education. *
Please submit a letter of recommendation from someone who was directly involved in your volunteer service (coordinator or someone affiliated with the service organization).  This letter of recommendation can be dropped off to Mrs. Gailey in the Athletic Office no later than March 19.  The Board of Selection includes:  Mrs. Jen Miller, Director of The Center, Mrs. Nancy Gailey, Beaver Dam Coordinator, Mrs. Meghan Murray, HS Principal, and Mr. Alan Alcalde, Athletic Director.
