Work-exchange and staff hiring for Summer Camp is now open. There are five steps:

1) Fill out this form. Do NOT register yet. If you try to register now, you will be charged the full rate. That's not what you want, right?
2) Be patient: a coordinator will follow up with you, review your needs and facilitate your hiring. Do NOT register yet. (We want to be sure you understand not to register yet.)

3) After you've been hired, check your email frequently for a discount coupon. Once you receive your coupon, you can register.
4) Register ASAP with your coupon and pay your balance due (at ncdcdances.org) so we know you're committed.
5) Celebrate! Do a happy dance! You're coming to camp as part of the crew.

Whole camp: Friday, June 14th - Saturday, June 22nd

Only 1st block Friday, June 14 - Tuesday, 18th

Only 2nd block Tuesday, June 18th - Saturday, June 22nd

After camp Saturday, June 22nd - Sunday, June 23rd

Those in financial need are first priority for work-exchange jobs. Please explain your current employment situation and your income status, and let us know other things that affect your financial situation, such as being a single parent or having unusual financial responsibilities. Hiring details

Check all departments you are available for. (Choose the options you could to be available for. Some positions are highly competitive or require specialized skills and experience).

Housekeeping: 2-hour shifts (priority given for 8-night campers)

Kids Camp counselor: half-day shifts every day (priority given to 8-night campers)

Set-up/Strike: pre- and post-camp. Strenuous physical work; few positions available

Beautification: pre- and post-camp. Few positions available.

Day/Night Coordinator: Experience with NCDC required

Care Team: nurses, counselors, mediators, etc. (Relevant certification may be required.)

Lifeguard (Candidates will need to pass Red Cross certification or already be certified.)

Dining area clean-up/tea and coffee service, 1 or 2-hour shifts (need to be able to lift heavy urns)

Greeters, check-in assistants, line-checking during meals: few hours, hired close to start of camp.

Late-night snack: 2-hour shift between 9pm and midnight, few positions available)

Wandering minstrels, jugglers, clowns, art projects, etc. (one position available per block)

Marketing: have extensive networks in the California conscious dance community
