Parental Request Restricting Access to School Library Material for His/her Child
The librarians and library staff of the Aberdeen School District are here to support you and your child in the selection of books from the school library.  We take great care in developing book collections that align with our school's curriculum goals and our district's mission: Empowering All Students to Succeed in a Changing World.
As a parent, you provide guidance for your children, helping them understand how your family values influence the choices they make. While your child is with us during the school day, we work together to find books that are interesting, relevant, and informative. While we don't know everything about every book that is in our library, we are willing to do whatever we can to support your child in selecting books that fit within your family values.  This form can be used as a starting point in our conversation and a way for us to guide your child's selection of books.  Once this form has been submitted and reviewed by your school's librarian, we will contact you to get more information.
