VETERANS’ PLAYWRITING WORKSHOP
Fundamentals of playwriting, playwriting project.

Saturday, Dec. 4 & 5 - 11am–3pm | Half-hour lunch break.
Sunday, Dec 11 &12 - 11am–3pm | Half-hour lunch break.

The workshop will explore the craft of playwriting with the goal of every student completing a ten minute play that will be rehearsed and then read with professional Actors on the last day of the workshop.

No writing experience necessary.

Class limited to 12 students.

CLASS GOALS
To understand the mechanics of drama, create three dimensional characters and play structure. Classes will include lecture, group discussion and writing exercises, culminating with having every student’s ten-minute play performed before an audience of fellow writers.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Mark is a playwright whose home is the Barrington Stage Company. At BSC, he has written the plays ELEANOR, FREUD’S LAST SESSION, BEST OF ENEMIES, DANCING LESSONS, among others and co-conceived and created the story for last season’s A CROSSING. He’s written for television and film and taught at many schools and play conferences.
