ah man, we've become one of those festivals that so so so so many people apply to play at... we spent years persuading people and bands to come, and now it's the flipside... we have become the institution! arg! we wish everyone could play... but not everyone can... we will endeavour to look and listen to all applications but it's become a herculean task...

What we want - TRADITIONAL MUSIC! first and foremost please...   and also ROOTS music i.e. non-anglo saxon folk music!   and then perhaps a smattering of bona fide vintage 70s funk, vintage rock n roll (like little richard played it), proper Latin, Afro beat, Brass Band... and Reggae...

not really into singer-song writers (sorry, I know, there's too many of you), pop, metal, thrash, "indie", .. it's all about the folk and roots music...  singer song-writers- if you can't sing us a traditional folk song around the fire, then you shouldn't really apply...
