Hello! We are currently taking down information for those are interested in purchasing our locally raised pork for the 2024 fall/winter timeframe.
If you would like to join the waitlist please read the details and process of ordering pork from us and then provide your information in the form below.
We are the home of a hereford/berkshire sow and a hereford boar. We strive to raise quality farm fresh pork. We pasture/forest raise our piglets, moving them through various areas on the farm where they can root and graze as they please. We do provide them with feed as well and source a Hog Feed locally. The pigs enjoy their extra snacks and treats and regularly receive "slop" from the farm, we like to keep waste low here and the pigs help that process tremendously. Meat products are not included in the slop our feeder pigs receive.

Once you join our waitlist you will be placed in the que based on your submission and that of others before and after you.
We are in the process of breeding our sow. Once she is bred we will have an estimated due date. Once those piglets are born we will assign piglets to those on the waitlist in the order that we received submissions. If we have enough piglets after the waitlist orders are filled we will open the rest up for pre-orders. If we do not have enough piglets to fulfill waitlist orders then we will notify those who are still on the waitlist of our next anticipated litter.
Once you have been assigned a piglet you can provide your deposit to Alvarez Acres ( $225 for a whole pig, $125 for a half pig) within one week. If you do not make your deposit within one week of being notified, your spot will be passed on to the next person in line on the waitlist or to for new pre-orders. Deposits are non-refundable.
We will set a butcher date and update you when it is set. At this time we currently partner with Zimmerman Meats for our butchering services. Two weeks prior to the butcher date you can make your cut choices. We will provide a link or you can call Zimmerman's to go over your cut list options. Please ensure if you have any questions about pricing, packaging, etc that you direct those to a Zimmerman's associate as we do not handle those items. You will also choose your pickup location at any of the Zimmerman Meat locations available. At this time you will also be reminded about your second payment to Alvarez Acres.
One week prior to the butcher date you will make your second payment to Alvarez Acres for your pig ( $225 for a whole pig, $125 for a half pig). If you do not make your final payment one week prior to the butcher date your pig will be sold to the next person in line on the waitlist or for orders. As a reminder the deposit made at assigning piglets is non-refundable.
After your cuts are finished at the butcher you will receive a call from them. You will pick up your cuts at the location you have chosen. You will then be responsible for making your final payment to Zimmerman Meats. Please note that the final payment varies based on the cuts you've chosen, package sizing, and the total weight of your pig.
