Policy & Internet is accepting Expressions of Interest for future special issues relating to policies that influence, or are shaped by, the era of increased digitalisation. For those interested in editing a special issue, please fill out the form below. Please note that we seek Special Issues for Volume 17:4 and onwards, released in mid-2025.

Why would this special issue be a good fit for our journal? 
Specify any conflict of interest this special issue may have, including previous submissions. 
List of authors and co-authors, working titles (please note that we accept six to eight manuscripts per special issue)
List of potential reviewers (please provide two examples for each manuscript and why they would be a good fit to review)
List of previous experience editing a special issue (include doi links).
By submitting an expression of interest, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions outlined below. 
  • Policy & Internet maintains a strict double-blind review process. All submitted manuscripts, including supplementing material, must be anonymised.
  • Special Issue Editors are responsible for managing the progress of peer reviews, which includes acquiring 2-3 reviewers per manuscript and managing multiple rounds of review. For publication, Special Issue Editors must obtain at least 2 accepted peer reviews. 
  • Reviewers who may have affiliations or conflicts of interest with the Special Issue Editors cannot be engaged as reviewers. 
  • All deadlines set by the Managing Editor must be met. Failure to meet deadlines and/or manage reviews in a timely manner may result in the cancellation of your Special Issue. 
  • The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to cancel Special Issues if Special Issue Editors fail to adhere to these terms.
