THE MERCADO - 'Noche De Fiesta' Vendor Application (May 2nd, 2024)
*A monthly outdoor night market on Canal St. and Main Street in Downtown Merced.*
The Mercado events have been approved by the Merced County Public Health Department, and are supported by the City of Merced. We are also proud to partner with the Merced Police Department, the Merced Fire Department, and RIGGS ambulance service at the events.

All vendors must have a

license in order to participate in The Mercado. The MCHCC requests to receive a copy of your City of Merced Business License
two weeks before the event
. If you don't have a Business License, you can download an application for an annual license here:

A one-day Special Events Business License is required only if you do not already have an annual Business License with the City of Merced. You can download an application for a Special Events License ($16.50/day) here:

The Standard Vendor fee is
$45.00 per day (for active MCHCC Members and Nonprofit Organizations
) and
$65.00 per day (for non-MCHCC Members) per one (1) 10'x10' booth space
.
The Food Vendor fee is $150 per (1) 10'x10' booth space or $200.00 for (2) 10'X10' booth spaces for one day.

Applications will be considered on a first-applied, first-paid basis.
Any returned check will be charged an extra fee.
Failing to pay the vendor fee before the event may result in loss of vendor space.
All vendors will be required to bring their own tables, chairs, table coverings, canopy tents (10’x10’ only), electricity equipment, marketing materials, and signage. We ask that booth space areas be kept neat, clean, and organized at all times, including booth breakdown and cleanup after the event. I agree to these conditions:

The City of Merced and/or the MCHCC have the right to reject any booth needing electricity. Each vendor must provide their own extension cords and generator.
The City of Merced and/or the MCHCC also reserves the right to cancel or relocate any vendor as needed.

I understand that the City of Merced and the MCHCC shall not be liable for the results of any accident, damage, theft, or any other loss to the Vendor, or to any person or article employed by or in the possession of the Vendor while on the grounds of The Mercado on "N" Street, from Main street to 19th Street, and on 18th Street from "M" Street up to "N" Street, whether such occurs during the time of preparation, the period of occupancy, or at the time of removal from The Mercado on Main and Canal Streets. I understand that if I am accepted as a participant in The Mercado on "N" Street and 18th Streets, I agree that photographs or videos of me, and/or my work/products may be used by the MCHCC and the City of Merced for promotional and publicity purposes.
