Field Hockey/Indoor Hockey
This year I will continue with my Field Hockey/Indoor Hockey club the entire year, including over the summer holidays. Ressu is working in conjunction with Warriors Hockey Club in Helsinki. We will start with indoor hockey at Ressu on Wednesday, 25 October 2023 for the students who played last year. New students can also join if it is not too short notice. The coaching is provided free of charge.
We welcome everyone from grades 3 to 6. From next week onwards, training times will be as follows:
Tentative Times for Next Week (Monday and Tuesday Times to be Confirmed)
Mondays: 16h00 till 17h00 (grades 3 and 4) - Lower Gym - Starts on Monday, 30 October 2023
Tuesdays: 16h00 till 17h00 (grades 5 and 6) - Lower Gym - Starts on Tuesday, 31 October 2023.
Wednesdays: 16h00 till 18h00 (Advanced Training - Generally for the older students, but exceptions may occur depending on the situation) - Lower Gym - Starts on Wednesday, 25 October 2023.
Finnish National Team Under-16's
Students who are selected for to play matches in the under-14 category pay a license fee. We have entered two teams in the Finnish under-14 league. Our aim is to build a national under-16 team (boys and girls) to compete in the European competition in 2026 that will be hosted somewhere in Europe. The host country is not known yet. We are also looking to build an under-16 competitive team (boys and girls) for students who cannot be considered for the national team because of their nationality.
Our next venture is the indoor competitions that start in November 2023 and continues till March 2024 where several teams have signed up for. We are also planning on taking an under-12 team to play in Odense, Denmark on 20-21 January 2024. The school is offering this in cooperation with Warriors Hockey Club.
If your child decides to join the hobby it is important to attend the hobby every week, unless your child is sick or or he/she/they are not able to attend.
