This class is suitable for beginners as the water is claim and has no boat traffic.
We will go over paddle strokes and get you feeling comfortable on your board. You do not have to stand up if you are not comfortable.
These sessions are designed to help improve your paddling and confidence as we explore different locations in the region.    
Learn about SUP safety, how to effectively care for and use the equipment,  as well as gain confidence, skills and technics all while exploring a variety of locations within the region.  What a great way to get out and enjoy this awesome sport under the guidance

MANDATORY equipment:
You can choose to rent your equipment from Inner-Peace Yoga or bring your own:
  • Renting your Board will include all your gear you will need for the class. The Cost is $50.
  • If you have your own board the cost for the class is $25. You must have your own gear.
You must bring your own leash, life jacket, flashlight ( shock resistant casing )or light for your board, whistle, AND your own anchor for SUP yoga classes.

Tips:
  1. You can make your own anchor by filling a empty detergent container or empty milk container with clay or sand and attaching a nautical rope the length of your paddle to it.
  2. You could also purchase a 10-15lb dumbbell and attach a rope, or you could simply purchase a small boating anchor. Your rope should be 15 feet.

Important
*Make sure to have your board blown up and ready to go before the start of class if you have your own board.

*Late arrivals will result in cancelled class at your own expense. Arrive 15 mins before your class starts. Class STARTS at the time listed above. 

Things you may also want bring to your class:
  • water bottle
  • sunscreen
  • bug spray
  • water shoes
  • A complete change of clothes and towel
  • dry bag 
  • sunglasses and glasses float 
  • What to wear proper water clothing, bathing suit, swim shorts, quick-dry top, etc… (whatever you feel most comfortable wearing)
