The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop's mission is to build community through the arts. CHAW is continually evolving to meet the needs of the community.

CHAW’s Black Box Theater, Dance Studio, and Art Studio are available for rental for performances, rehearsals, classes, workshops, etc. City zoning regulations limit CHAW to arts related activities. Please see the Space Rental spec sheet pdf on the previous page for more information about each studio space.

CHAW is CLOSED on Sundays.
CHAW is no longer able to host birthday parties.
 
The rental rates for CHAW spaces are as follows:
Non-Profit Organizations: the Off-Peak rate is $50/hr. Peak rate is $80/hr.
All Other Groups/Organizations/Individuals: the Off-Peak rate is $90/hr. Peak rate is $120/hr.

Off-Peak hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:30am-3:30pm, 6:00pm-10:00pm
Peak hours are Fridays 9:30am-10:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-10:00pm

If you are interested in holding an event at CHAW, please take 3 or 4 minutes to fill out the Space Inquiry form and Danny Cackley (Facilities Coordinator) will contact you to discuss your request and schedule an on-site visit (if necessary). Requests must be submitted at least two weeks before the date of your proposed event. We will do our best to contact you within three business days to ensure that we have all the info we need to help you find the right space for your program. If you look at the rental rates (see spec sheet) and aren’t sure where you fall —or you have special circumstances you’d like to discuss—please do get in touch (danny@chaw.org).
