Email Distribution

Summary

The ISA BWDC Section manages emails about the ISA BWDC Section by sending email messages out two separate ways, via ISA Connect and via elective Direct Email.  Users may choose to receive emails both ways, or just one, or neither.  Users can also discontinue emails from each source at any time.

ISA Connect

One way ISA BWDC Section communicates is via ISA Connect.  ISA Connect is ISA’s online platform which includes an email module for members.  Users can control emails from ISA Connect by adjusting the settings in their ISA Connect account.

To get BWDC Section emails from ISA Connect, Users create account / login to their ISA Connect account at Home - ISA Connect, go to “My Account”, “Privacy Settings” and ensure that the selector for “I would like to be included in the member directory and community rosters:” is set to “Yes”.

To discontinue BWDC Section emails from ISA Connect, Users login to their ISA Connect account at Home - ISA Connect, go to “My Account”, “Privacy Settings” and ensure that the selector for “I would like to be included in the member directory and community rosters:” is set to “No”.

Direct Email

Another way ISA BWDC Section communicates is via Direct Email from the BWDC Section Program Chair.  For privacy update purposes, ISA BWDC Section has rebuilt their Direct Email distribution list from scratch, only sending Direct Emails to Users who specifically request it.

To get Direct Emails from the BWDC Section Program Chair:

Users complete the ISA BWDC Section Direct Email Initiation form at ISA BWDC Section Direct Email Initiation Form or Users complete any future Meeting Registration form and provide their mail there.

To discontinue Direct Emails from the BWDC Section Program Chair, Users complete the ISA BWDC Section Direct Email Discontinuation form at ISA BWDC Section Direct Email Discontinuation Form.

Commitment

ISA BWDC Section commits to the following regarding Direct Email:

1. ISA BWDC Section does not share their Direct Email distribution list.

2. ISA BWDC utilizes individual emails or blind copy, so nobody can see anybody else's email addresses.

3. ISA BWDC Section will remove User email from the list anytime upon request.

4. ISA BWDC Section will only send emails about the following:

4.a. ISA BWDC Section hosted events including invitations and registration confirmations

4.b. ISA BWDC Section co-hosted events

4.c. ISA BWDC Section related surveys

4.d. ISA BWDC Section related news

4.e. ISA BWDC Section related volunteer opportunities

5. ISA BWDC Section will NOT send emails about the following:

5.a. Non – ISA BWDC Section events unless co-hosted by ISA BWDC Section

5.b. Non – ISA BWDC Section related surveys

5.c. Non – ISA BWDC Section related news

5.d. Non – ISA BWDC Section volunteer opportunities – These will only be posted on the ISA BWDC Section web page.
