The challenge coin initiative is a program created by Dale Dobson with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. The initiative trains individuals on proper ways to handle mental health crises in the agriculture industry. Participants will learn how to distribute tokens to individuals in their community having them promise to reach out to someone if they are experiencing mental health challenges. It represents a challenge to advocate for personal mental health and encourages individuals to ask for help when they are struggling. At this event, Dale would be working in collaboration with Raising Hope, who has produced their own challenge coin. Dr. Cheryl Witt will be the Raising Hope representative.
