We are so excited that you've decided to join us on our VERY FIRST workshop of the year! This will be the perfect opportunity to begin your prep work for the spring show season. Even better... our Gamankeppni Show at Locust Hill is just 2 weeks away from this event. This allows you valuable practice time on the oval with top trainers ahead of the main event.
Here's a little insight on what you can expect from your five day visit with us. Each day will consist of two rides and one theory session. Given that competition focused rides can be more intensive, your rides in a given day will be split between two separate horses. Participants will have three options per their mounts. You may bring two personal horses, lease two Taktur horses, or bring one personal horse and lease one Taktur horse.
At the end of the week all participants will film a program on both horses. Video review of rides can be an excellent tool for improvement. This method allows the rider to pair what they were feeling in the moment to how the image comes together for the judge or audience. It's also a nice way of testing what you've learned during the week. Additionally, if you're interested in filming for the USIHC Spring Virtual Show we can make sure your video(s) meet the requirements. Therefore, you'll leave the workshop not just with new insight, but also a successful show video! We also hope that you'll join us a couple of weeks later for the annual Gamankeppni Show, scheduled for April 20-21.
Saturday night there will be a group dinner provided that we hope you'll be able to attend.

Boarding: We do require a current negative coggins for all horses. If you're traveling from out of state, we ask that you provide a health certificate as well.
