You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in this study. You agree that your birth data and health data will be used to analyze several research questions around the topic of COVID-19. You provide this data free of charge, for the sole purposes of advancing astrological research. Your data will not be used for any other purpose than to analyze the questions in this research study.
Study authors may publish or give conference presentations about the study results. To protect the privacy of all participants, no personally identifiable information, including individual birth charts, will be published. All results will be abstracted.
There are no anticipated risks for participating in this survey. There are no anticipated personal benefits for participating in this study. The primary benefit is the advancement of astrological knowledge for the practicing astrological community.
This study will focus on the health condition called "Long COVID syndrome." For the purposes of this study, we will use the following definition, set by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK:
Signs and symptoms that develop during or
following an infection consistent with COVID-19, continue for >12
weeks and are not explained by an alternative diagnosis. The term
“syndrome” reflects the concurrence of a multisystem, fluctuating, and
often overlapping clusters of signs and symptoms that, in some patients,
may follow a relapsing-remitting pattern and that may change over time
and affect any bodily system.
The study will focus on whether astrological signatures can be found in the natal charts of people who develop Long COVID. Researchers will compare astrological natal charts with controls from people who have not suffered this disease. This may shed light on the nature of this disease, and the channels through which it functions.
