Program Requirements/Notes:
*There is a financial and time commitment for the school year
*JRB offers after school lessons with Mr. & Mrs. Lordan
*Materials for band: instrument, music/folder, pencil, & lesson book “Standard of Excellence”, which can be purchased through David French Music when renting the instrument.

*BEGINNER LESSONS will begin the week of Sept. 18th, 2023, following our instrument delivery date of 9/14. LATE REGISTRATIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME! Lesson tuition will be prorated accordingly.
*BEGINNER BAND REHEARSALS will be held AFTER SCHOOL on Tuesdays, from 3-4pm, tentatively beginning on Oct. 24th, 2023. Beginner Band students will eventually join the Advanced Band when they're ready, typically during January/February. The Beginner Band will then dissolve and students will rehearse with the Advanced Band on Thursdays from 3-4pm.
LESSON PROGRAM: Group lessons (when available) are offered at Briggs after the school day. After registration, an email confirmation of your lesson day/time will be sent.
The yearly TUITION payment is divided into 4 equal payments of $82 each throughout the school year (based on 33 weeks of lessons). If starting lessons AFTER the week of 9/18, tuition will be prorated accordingly.

2023-24 CONCERT DATES: JRB Winter Concert, 12/14/23 at 7pm at Oakmont; District Band Night, 3/14/24 at 6:30pm at Oakmont; JRB Spring Concert, 6/6/24 at 7pm at Oakmont.
**There are NO lessons when AWRSD schools are closed (holidays; snow days; snow/emergency early releases)- we will try to make up the lesson if time is available on a different day.
**EARLY-RELEASE/FULL DAYS for staff development: LESSONS WILL STILL BE HELD AT THEIR REGULAR TIMES**
**ABSENCES: If your student is/will be absent or dismissed early from school on their lesson day, please email Mrs. Lordan ASAP, so the lesson schedule can be adjusted accordingly. If NO NOTICE of absence is given, you WILL be charged for the missed lesson. If you notify Mrs. Lordan PRIOR to your lesson time (the morning of the lesson day is ideal), we will either refund you or credit your account for that missed lesson, depending on your method of payment, if a makeup lesson time is not available.
RENTAL/SUPPLY INFORMATION: Our district instrument supplier is David French Music of Westboro, MA.
*They deliver for free to JRB and offer 4 months for the price of 1 to get students started!

2. Choose which instrument you would like to play!

Please fill out the form below to register for Beginner Band and lessons~About the snare drum…Drums are a lot of fun, but if your student starts out on a wind or brass instrument, they will learn how to read and play both rhythm and pitches, giving them a better overall music experience.
