SOH Graduate Reading Group Application
The Humanities Center announces funding to support graduate interdisciplinary reading groups.  Applications must include the following:

1.A central theme/problematic that crosses disciplinary boundaries
2. A 500 word explanation of the theme and its significance
3. Coordinator(s) who will organize the sessions and recruit members
4. A list of at least 5 committed members (with departments and research interests identified) who pledge to attend the reading groups on a regular basis
5. a list of tentative readings and a proposed schedule for winter and/or spring 2020 (if the group only plans to meet for one quarter, then a smaller amount may be awarded)

Successful applications will receive up to $300 to be used for readings and refreshments. Ideally, both the readings and the participants transcend disciplinary/departmental boundaries. The reading group should involve at least two SOH graduate students and may include students from outside of SOH.

Apply by Oct. 28, 2019 to this form.  Decisions will be announced by Dec. 2, 2019.  If your reading group decides to plan additional events, please consider applying for the graduate collaborative grants and/or the Borders & Belonging co-sponsorships.
