2019 Earl Haig PS SAC Survey
With another school year at Earl Haig nearly wrapped up, the School Advisory Council (SAC) wanted to thank everyone for supporting us through a GREAT year of big priorities (Play EH!) and get some feedback on what we should focus on for the year ahead.

The SAC meets monthly throughout the school year to discuss activities and events, fundraising, school news, and education advocacy.  We know that it can be difficult for many parents and caregivers to attend our meetings, but your voice and opinion are still important to us and we'd like to take your feedback into consideration when we make decisions about the year ahead. Please consider filling out this short survey to help us do just that.

If you have any questions or comments about this survey or the SAC, please email us at earlhaigschoolcouncil@gmail.com.

Parent/Caregiver Workshops + Presentations
We have previously organized parent/caregiver presentations on child anxiety and stress management. Please let us know if there are any topics you'd like us to cover in workshops in the year ahead:
School Council Meetings
The SAC holds casual meetings at the school once a month alternating between Tuesday & Wednesday from 7pm – 8:30pm (with childcare). At our meetings, we discuss upcoming events, decide on fundraising priorities, share volunteer opportunities, and hear updates from the school administration. Everyone is welcome (and encouraged!) to attend, whether you hold an executive position on the SAC or not.

In the interest of making our meetings as accessible as possible for parents/caregivers, would you participate in our meetings via internet streaming if we made that available?

Can You Help?
Parent and caregiver volunteers help the SAC run activities and events such as the annual spring festival, our biennial Hullabaloo, pizza lunches, bake sales, pumpkin patch, nutrition program, movie night, and so much more.

The funds we raised this year helped our students by supporting Scientists in the School, Arts Express anxiety sessions for students and parents, classroom supports, grade 8 graduation, sports equipment, extra classroom supplies, and our Play EH! playground revitalization project.

We can't do any of this without you! If you're interested in volunteering with us next year, please provide your contact information and let us know how you'd like to help.
