It's time to elect a leader for the State Republican Party this January. The Maine GOP has lost its way. It’s time for a change. It’s time for a real vision and action! If Republicans want to be taken seriously, our leadership needs to stop embracing a culture of losing. It’s time for Maine Republicans to have their voices heard through their elected members of the State Party Committee. To have an executive committee totally ignoring the voices of these representatives demonstrates a destructive approach to leadership.

I am Heidi Sampson and I’m running to be the next Maine GOP Party Chair. The future of the Maine GOP is hanging in the balance. With a clear eye on the problems we face and a proven track record of problem solving, action, and accomplishment, I choose to be part of the solution.

We need strong leadership and an advocate for building a culture of success. Here are three areas needing immediate improvement.

Run and Win Everywhere: We need to focus on building a deep bench of leaders who can win in statewide, countywide, and city/townwide elections. We need strong Republicans to win races for school board, council/select board, commissioner, state legislature, as well as races at the top of the ticket.

Election Day Is Now Election Season: To win, we need to think outside of Election Day. We must develop winning strategies for Absentee and Early Voting and replicate success when we find it.

Pro-Active Messaging: All too often, Republicans are on the defense about who we are. We need to be strategic, dynamic, relevant, and timely with information on where we stand on issues that Maine People care about.
