#becauseCOVID we are asking you to make the following commitment:

You will not send your child to any High School events if they have the following symptoms:
- A temperature above 100 degrees
- A dry cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, a headache
- Congestion, a runny nose, a sore throat
- Fatigue, muscle or body aches or pains
- Diarrhea or nausea or vomiting
- New loss of taste or smell

Before coming onto parish property you will alert Fr. Morris if any of the following is true:
- Your child has tested positive for or are presumed by health care professionals or health authorities to have COVID-19
- Your child had close contact with an individual infected with COVID-19 within the last 14 days
- Your child had close contact with an individual suspected of being infected with COVID-19, including individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms within the last 14 days
- Your child is currently or has, within the last 14 days, experienced COVID-19 symptoms such as the ones listed above
- Your child has traveled to an area that is under a level 2, 3, or 4 travel advisory by the U.S. State department

When on the property of St. John Vianney you agree that your child will follow all parish policies regarding social distance, sanitizing, and wearing masks. The current policy for High School youth ministry is as follows:

When gatherings are conducted outdoors:
- Following any guidelines outlined by the specific place we are attending [i.e. a retreat center, a shrine, etc.]
- Maintain good social distance with members not of your household
- No sharing of any items including but not limited to food, utensils, water pitchers, phones
- Food, snacks, and beverages will be provided in individually packaged containers or will be served individually
- An attendance roster will be maintained
- Maintaining good hygiene routines including hand washing supplemented by use of hand sanitizer
- If need be, assisting to sanitize the meeting space at the end of the evening

When meetings are conducted indoors all of the above applies in addition to:
- Face masks are strongly encouraged while entering, exiting, and moving about in the building
- While in your space for the evening you will not be required to wear your face mask
- The gathering space we meet in may, due to size, have a capacity, in such a circumstance attendance will be pre-registered

These guidelines are subject to change depending upon the current state and health guidelines.
If you are unable to meet any of the expectations [such as not being able to wear a face mask due to a asthma] you must indicate such to Fr. Morris ahead of the proposed meeting date.

While all of these policies are in place in order to limit and prevent exposure to COVID-19, any event taking place naturally comes the risk of contracting COVID-19. By agreeing to this document you also acknowledge that there is a risk of your child contracting COVID-19 by attending High School events.
